Franca Barbara Frittelli is born in Florence, Italy in 1925.
Since a small child the passion for art was evident. She therefore attends the High School of the Arts and this was the best choice for her.
From high school she continued onto the Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Ottone Rosai.
In 1951 with an american Fulbright scholarship she traveled to the United Staes where she spent one year in New Mexico.
At this time she painted various works: Adobe Houses, Women at the Cross.
Upon her return she met Ken Tielkemeier at the Academy of Fine Arts; she would then marry him in 1957.
Franca Barbara a complete artist, a lifetime dedicated to art in its various art forms: adored by Ottone Rosai for he artistic style; fashion designer beginning in the 1960’s and even designing a sports collection for the famous Mohammed Ali (Cassius Clay).
Franca Barbara Frittelli dies on December 6th,2016 in Volta Mantovana during an exhibit of 40 of her paintings. She was surrounded by her works at the time, her show continued for another month after her death.
